Nordyke v. King was an epic battle by gun show backers attempting to overturn a ban of gun sales at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. The case was litigated for over a decade in both federal and state courts. Finally, we report, the matter was decided with finality by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 7, 2013. The Court denied certiorari in the matter such that gun show backers were unsuccessful on the merits as well as their attempts to obtain sought-after attorney’s fees in the saga-like controversy. (See U.S. Supreme Court No. 12-275.)
